WOODHALL SPA 1940'S WEEKEND
We travelled the few miles to the beautiful town of Woodhall Spa and their annual 1940s weekend July 16-17.
The streets, venues, cafes, parks, squares, bars, hotels, halls and restaurants took part all weekend long with those who wanted to celebrate life on the British Homefront in the Lincolnshire village.
After many months out of action, the BBMF’s Thumper (Lancaster Bomber ) completed a first test flight over the festival crowd during the Sunday morning. She was a wonderful sight as she cruised high above due to safety testing restrictions but it was still a thrill to see and hear her.
